HON. UMAR ADAM KATSAYAL, mni (BSc., MSc., PhD., mni), a professor of Pharmacognosy in the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, hailed from Katsayal. He attended Katsayal I Primary School and Senior Science Secondary School Funtua for his primary and secondary education respectively. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Botany from Bayero University, obtained a master’s and doctorate degrees both in the field of Pharmacognosy from Ahmadu Bello University.
