Danladi Mamman Abdu is the Acting Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Transportation Daura, Katsina State, Nigeria. His research lies at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision into civil engineering, with a specific focus on intelligent construction processes and infrastructure monitoring.
He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Central South University (CSU), P.R. China, where he was a recipient of the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC). His excellence in research was recognized in 2023 with the Outstanding International Graduate Award at CSU. Earlier, in 2022, his team secured the third prize in the Aier Innovation Competition hosted by Hunan University of Technology and Business.
Abdu is deeply committed to leveraging computational techniques to solve complex engineering problems and is currently exploring the application of computer vision for advanced traffic control and regulation—a domain he intends to pursue rigorously during his doctoral studies.
